Founded in 1987 by the Camilleri family in the heart of Marsaxlokk, BAĦAR — meaning "sea" in Maltese — has been serving the island's most beloved traditional dishes for nearly four decades.
Our fishermen deliver the catch of the day before dawn. Our bread is baked each morning with local ftira flour. Every recipe is guarded with the same fierce love our nanna Carmela first brought to this kitchen — passed down unchanged, plate after plate, year after year.
Every Friday and Saturday evening, local musicians fill the terrace with traditional Maltese folk music and Mediterranean sounds under the stars.
